Where is Virgin Money Unity Arena?

Virgin Money Unity Arena is based at Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 5HP

How can I get to the venue?

You can:

  • Arrive by car and park in the free car park. Enter your car registration number when you buy tickets.
  • Use the Pick Up and Drop Off point if you’re using a taxi or getting a lift.
  • Arrive by bicycle or motorbike if you’ve bought a bicycle or motorbike ticket.

You can’t:

  • Arrive by foot
  • Arrive by bus or coach
  • Park overnight
What is the capacity of the Virgin Money Unity Arena?

Virgin Money Unity Arena consists of 550 viewing spaces hosting a maximum 2500 people.

Is there disability access?

Yes, the arena is fully accessible. our security staff have disability training and if you have any concerns or a specific request please get in touch in advance. Please email  

How do I contact lost property?

Please email and one of the team will follow up with you directly. Please let us know what the item is and which show you attended.

If I get there early will I be nearer to the front?

When you purchase your ticket you will be allocated an arrival time, you will be sent your arrival time via email approximately 7 days before the event. You cannot choose which viewing space you are provided with.

What is the age limit?

All shows require Under 16’s to be accompanied by an adult. As we have a wide variety of shows, some will be 16+ or 18+. Please check your ticket details for the relevant information. Please also bring a valid form of ID with you as we will be operating Challenge 25. 

Can I leave the site and come back?

No, re-entrance to the site will not be permitted.

Can I go back to my car?

No, you must ensure you have everything you need from your car before you enter the arena.

Can I leave the viewing space at any time?

One person may leave your viewing area at a time, but only to use the toilet facilities or go to the bar whilst sticking to the government guidance on social distancing.

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash will not be accepted at the venue, please bring a card and use contactless purchases where possible. 

I have a medical condition and require medication, will this be permitted?

Yes, if they are life essential, in original packaging and easily identifiable. Where possible please provide a prescription or Doctor’s note to ease your access through security.

Can I bring a deck chair?

There is no need as chairs will be provided in your viewing area.

Is food and drink available?

Yes, we have a wide range of delicious food vendors and a full bar available on site. You can also pre-order drinks packages which are available from our website until midnight the night before the show. 

Will there be a support act?

Yes, each act will have a support.

What time do I need to arrive?

You will be sent an arrival time approximately 7 days before the event, this will be sent to the email which you booked your tickets with.

Can I bring my dog?

No, only assistance dogs will be permitted inside of the arena.

Can I choose which viewing space I book?

No, you cannot choose which viewing space you are provided with, these are allocated on a fair and randomised basis. 

Can I book a viewing space next to my friends?

When you purchase your ticket you will be allocated a viewing area,  unfortunately you cannot choose which viewing area you are provided with.

What if I need assistance during the event?

Event stewards and security will be on hand and readily available for if you need any assistance during the event.

How does the event work?
  • You can purchase your ticket for your chosen event online, you will then receive a confirmation email and e-ticket. Please keep hold of these. You will then be asked for your car registration and will be allocated a time slot for arrival.

 

  • When arriving at the entry gate you will be required to show security your e-ticket.

 

  • You will then be directed by staff to our car park. Once parked up you will join a socially distanced queuing system and be directed to the arena.

 

  • Our staff will then direct you to your personal viewing space where you can enjoy the show.

 

  • You can collect your pre-ordered drinks on arrival.

 

  • When the show ends our staff will safely direct you back to your car and you will be given directions to safely exit the site.
Is the £20 surcharge per ticket or per booking?

The £20 change is per booking (1 single charge).

Social Distancing

Will Face Coverings & Hand Sanitiser be provided?

Face Coverings will NOT be provided, but you are required to wear a face covering whilst moving around inside the arena. There are multiple hand sanitiser stations on site as well as a number of wash basins so ticket holders can regularly wash their hands.

Will I be tested for Covid-19?

No. If you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 you must not attend the event. Failure to comply with these measures could result in your ejection from the arena.

I have been Shielding from Covid-19 because I am clinically extremely vulnerable. Would you recommend that I attend your event?

Will the toilets be regularly cleaned?

There are a block of toilets on each side of the arena. These toilets are cleaned between every use.

Will each viewing area be cleaned after each show?

Yes, after every show the viewing space and seating areas will be cleaned by our dedicated team. 

How will you ensure Social Distancing is being practised?

All staff will be following Government Guidelines on social distancing. Staff will also be provided with PPE and regular hand washing will be compulsory.

Yes, please purchase a ticket as normal, email your ticket confirmation along with proof of requirement of assistance (e.g valid blue badge/confirmation letter of higher rate DLA) and the name of your carer to: or

Will viewing spaces be wheelchair friendly?

Yes, we have ensured that our viewing areas are fully accessible throughout the arena.
